Mill Engineer

Business Unit: TOA
Based: Manis Mata, Ketapang, West Kalimantan

Position Purpose

This position is needed to ensure the palm oil mill runs safely and productively, within specifications, according to the FFB production/delivery and to meet the production volumes. Scope includes raw material receiving, processing and maintenance and product shipment.

This position exists to:

  • Execute and champion Cargill environment, health and safety procedures within the production and maintenance department
  • Optimize production and maintenance costs through lean manufacturing concepts, proper production management, preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance system, labor management and budget management
  • Maximize production capacity/yield and minimize downtime
  • Implement effective maintenance management system and program
  • Optimize product quality
  • Optimize and control labor and equipment resources
  • Develop and leverage talent for growth in both production and maintenance

Requirements:

  • Mechanical Engineering degree from a reputable University with minimum GPA of 2.75
  • Min. 10 years working experience in a manufacturing environment, with min. 5 years in supervisory role, leading a group of at least 50 people
  • Min. 5 years in maintenance department, with a least 3 years in a supervisory capacity, leading a group of at least 10 people
  • Basic financial skills and analysis (budgeting process)
  • Proven leadership skills and strong commitment towards career
  • Honest and disciplined
  • Computer literate
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Experience in a multinational food manufacturing company or palm oil mill with good safety standard, knowledge of ISO standards and experience in production planning and maintenance scheduling are added advantages.
